There’s more preparation involved when you’re planning a backpacking adventure than you first may think.. But, once you are up & ready, you are free to leave all your commitments behind and go travel safety and stress-free.. Below, are a few ways me and Luke found it helpful;

One of the ways that I found helpful was creating a binder – that and because I love a good list. We created 3 filled with all the information we could possibly need, kept one for ourselves, one for my family & another for Luke’s family for back ups. Included in this was;

  • Flight/trip itinerary (including flight numbers)
  • Accomodation details
  • Travel insurance documents
  • Copy of visas
  • Bank details
  • Emergency numbers from different countries
  • Numbers from home (just for us)
  • Copies of credit cards, ID & passports
  • Vaccination record
